g. མོས་དེརྭབ་སྙན་རིང་པོ་ཅིག་བཀླཁ།[

I0.3.8 A djectival constructions using ལོས་
i̅ When ལོས་ is used with the comparative stem of adjectiVes it conveys the
interrogative meaning of "how much." For example,
a. རྟ་དེ་ཆེ་ལོས་འདུག།
How big is that horse?
b. ཁོ་པས་མེ་མདའ་མང་ལོས་ཉོས་པ་རེད།
How rnany guns did he buy?

construction.
a. ཚོགས་པ་དེའི་ནང་དུ་ཞིང་པ་ཡོད་ལ་འགྲོག་པ་ཡང་འདུག།

b. ཁོ་ཚོས་ཞིང་ལས་བྱེད་ལ་ཚོང་ལས་ཡང་རྒྱག་བཞིན་ཡོད།

A second, ]ess common function of ལ་ conveys the meaning of "with respect
or "concerning" or "because" (see c.) . Only context will differentiate these two mean
